About GetInboxScore

GetInboxScore is an independent data intelligence platform that scores email marketing tools for content creators, newsletter publishers, and small businesses. We help creators make informed decisions by aggregating real-time community sentiment, pricing data, and user reviews into a single Creator Email Score™.

Why We Built This

Most email tool reviews online are either affiliate content disguised as honest analysis, or outdated articles republishing the same generic comparisons. Creators deserve better they need data-driven insights based on what the community actually thinks, not what paid reviewers want them to believe.

We scan Reddit, HackerNews, G2, Capterra, pricing pages, and hiring platforms continuously to track how email tools perform in the real world. Our bots never sleep, which means our scores reflect the current state of the market, not outdated opinions.

Our Methodology

The Creator Email Score™ is calculated using six data sources collected automatically by our bot network:

Reddit Sentiment Analysis We monitor 20+ creator subreddits daily for discussions about email marketing tools. Each mention is analyzed for sentiment (positive, negative, neutral) and weighted by the community engagement (upvotes, comments).

HackerNews Intelligence We track every HackerNews thread that mentions email marketing platforms. Developer and founder communities often reveal technical strengths and weaknesses that traditional reviews miss.

Pricing Monitor Our price-watching bot checks the official pricing pages of every tool we track, detecting changes, hidden fees, and plan restructures. We only cite prices from official sources, not resellers.

Job Market Signals We track job postings at email tool companies to identify which platforms are growing, investing in specific features, or facing layoffs. Growth signals predict product quality.

Google Trends Data Search volume trends reveal which tools are gaining or losing mindshare among creators and marketers.

Review Aggregation Where accessible, we aggregate user reviews from G2, Capterra, and other platforms, weighting recent reviews more heavily than older ones.

How Our Scores Work

The Creator Email Score™ is a number from 0 to 100 that reflects how well a tool serves content creators specifically. It combines:

  • Community sentiment weight (35%)
  • Pricing value (20%)
  • Feature depth for creators (20%)
  • Deliverability signals (15%)
  • Growth trajectory (10%)

A score above 90 means the tool excels for creators. 80-89 means it's a solid choice. 70-79 means it works but has notable tradeoffs. Below 70 means there are better alternatives.

What We Don't Do

  • We don't accept payment to raise scores
  • We don't write sponsored reviews disguised as neutral analysis
  • We don't fabricate statistics or cite made-up data
  • We don't claim to have tested every tool — instead, we transparently use community data
  • We don't include tools in comparisons that don't serve creators
